reset

I’m notoriously bad at taking breaks.

Over the years, I’ve developed the habit of swatting away my exhaustion. I push through. I persist, ignoring the cries of my body, my heart.

I’ve been writing a lot. And I find myself tired. Wrung out.

So I’m doing what I can to rest. This is a struggle.

When you’re chasing your passions, the things you enjoy so frequently feel like work. It’s easy for what you love most to cease being fun. When the well runs dry, it’s important to remember what made us excited to pick up the pen in the first place.

The best way to remember?

Relax.

Sit still.

Listen.

Breathe.

Rest.

Reset.
