Another reason I haven’t been posting lately is I’m not happy with what comes out when I sit down to write.
My attention is fragmented, I’m trying to keep my head above water personally and financially, and when I sit down to engage with the work, I often feel like I’m skimming over the surface, not quite able to break into the real stuff.
I suppose a component of this lies in asking myself what I’m contributing. What does each blog post say? What does it have to offer? What’s the goal and what’s the metric to measure achieving this goal?
Ultimately, these are the questions that need to be asked of the work. If we’re to show up and put in the effort, shouldn’t we be focused on the process of making change?
